This client was in need of updating the front yard of their Northern Retreat home. They wanted to create a new grand entrance to the front door, at the same time minimizing disturbance to the wrap-around driveway. The setting of the home within the site spoke volumes of a very natural and organic approach to the layout and plantings. We introduced a concrete paver drop-off zone within the existing asphalt driveway which transitioned to the walkway leading up to the front door. We added a “twist” to the layout by introducing a sweeping concrete paver apron in front of the garage doors that then lead over to the service entrance. This project is almost 10 years old and still looks like it was just built.
